Just got an ebay message from a seller, and they included their paypal email address, and ebay let it through. In the past I was never able to put an email address in an ebay message. Is this because of the ebay/Paypal separation?

I was always able to send an email when I sent the message through the app on my phone but not on the website. Not sure why and not sure if its been.fixed or not but I would guess he sent it from his app

Email addresses have never been allowed in messages that are asking questions, as far as my own experience indicates.

The buyer knows your email address. If they sent it outside of the ebay system, I would be cautious. It sounds like yours did go through ebay.

Just in case, it isn't a bad idea to bring up the messages (if you haven't already done so) with ebay on your message center.

If it went through ebay, it's cool.

Yeah, it went through ebay. Not sure if it was from his phone though.

Try it, have a friend with an ebay account send you an email through the app or vice versa. I bet it will go through

Interesting! The present E-bay restriction can be circumvented, of course, but it's a bit tedious. This would be a boon!
