2006P-1DO-018, too bad about that spot. End of the day it only cost me a cent.

If it was mine, I'd run water on it. It might dissolve. I wouldn't rub it though.

Water will not remove the darkness. it will be there for the rest of it's life. Best to leave it alone and keep the rest of the plating normal looking. (what we do to a coin today will affect the long term affect on a coin.
