I have about 1050 oz. of silver nuggets in various sizes. I was curious if anyone knew where I could liquidate this silver. I also have some gold nuggets and one ounce gold "pips" that I would also like to liquidate, I just don't know where to go to get a fair market value for these items.

Any advice would be welcome.

ebay is your best bet... beware 10% fee to ebay, about 3% to Paypal, you have upto 40 free listings a month in the collectible category, or you can pay $10 a month for a store front. Ship as cheaply as possible cause people are affected by high shipping costs.... Try to buy shipping envelopes as cheaply as possible.

Also your silver is worth over $15,000 right now. Follow the silver charts

Also, beware that the market is soft right now, I would wait if you can... silver will probably go up eventually again

Good advice so far. If you have the time and ability, you'll net a much better return if you sell these items yourself.

Something else to consider is your market. Since you're selling silver ore and gold nuggets, you might get a better return if you sell these items as mineral specimens. PM dealers will likely expect a discount on your unrefined ore while a rock/mineral collector might happily take your specimens as is. I'm not involved in the mineral collector market myself but it might be something worth investigating. Good luck!
