Hi Aabut,
Your coin appears to be free of hairlines and has not been polished or otherwise "shined up". So, I'd say it has not been cleaned.
I don't see any obvious wear, but the fields look less brilliant than the areas around the legends. Look at the difference between the space around "United States Of America" and the field right below it to see what I mean. This suggests there has been some friction (wear) in the fields with takes the coin into the AU (About Uncirculated) range. I'd guess it would grade about AU-55.
IMO, this is a very nice, lightly-circulated example of this beautiful coin type.

I'd say XF-45. The ring around the rim also indicates prior use as jewelry. Check if there is any damage to the edges.

I would agree with the others, AU. I would, however, not hold it in my hand like that. If I ever do need to handle a coin without gloves I only touch the edge. That is my opinion though. I cringe when I see a picture of a coin I want to buy on ebay being held by the seller like that. Jim

I'd get it graded. If you dont get it graded, at least get an appropriate storage device for it.

It looks like a nice coin. Uncleaned, AU. I kinda could see that this could have been in a pendant or something. If there's no damaged to it from the pendant then I would guess that it would be OK, right?

A major grading service would probably not grade due to vertigris (greenish copper oxides) remember US coins are about 90% gold and 10% mixture of othermetals... that being said, coin appears to be in AU 58 or low MS condition and you should consider sending it for conservation to NCS...

The reverse has peculiar wear and dirty areas, especially around the Mottos.
