You seem to be on an Optimo Principi binge today ?

Not a bad little denarius. Scratches are an issue though.
Sadly it seems like some people when they find something amazing lying in the ground take out a pen knife and clean it.

Like the coin type though the scratches for me are a major problem. Can we just send a flyer out to not do this to any coin?

Thanks, Ron.

@ O.M.F. - I know about the scratches. They are probably what kept the serious bidders away which allowed me to score this coin, but you are right.
Someone 'clever' once said "Patience is a virtue", and he should have added "but unfortunately it is in VERY short supply."
As you can see from the two (previous) bronze examples, the image and the legends are very worn and indistinct, so when I see a cheap Denarius . . . . . .

No, F.R. I am not on a 'Trajan' binge. I am cataloguing my coins (with advice from Pish) and I happened to pick up the 'Trajan' envelope. Next it could be Vespasian, Domitianus, Herennia Etruscus, or anyone.
I know the names . . . . . and I am learning the rest.
Thanks, guys. Your comments are always appreciated.
