Is there a way to post tables in a post? I have a pretty funny article on grading, I've retyped from 18 years ago, I'd love to share here as it is quite relevant, but it requires a 3 column 10 row table.
The formatting will go wonky if the page is resized when I tried a preview of it without tables, so I cancelled the posting of it until I can figure out how best to share it. Sorry, tables are not an option because one misplaced tag breaks the entire page, not just the post. You can however use the code tags [co de][/co de] which will preserve actual spacing and keep your columns even like so.....
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

Thanks Bobby for the quick response! Maybe making a JPG of the article and posting it that way might work better? I'm not understanding the code tag.
I need to make 3 columns each one will have a number in it going down in succession:
1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 etc.
each number will have text following it (one word each number). would code work for that? I will play around with it if you think so. The link below advance post box "FORUM CODE" doesn't explain this to me.
P.S. I looked - but can't find any tutorial on using
tags though I understand most of the basic ones, as I always use the url one and image one in the basic post box, I used to only use the advance edit post, but after learning them along with my favorite smiles I just type it out as it's faster sometimes.

Seems like you are trying for a numbered list of three columns 1-milk 1-cookies 1-ice cream
2-newspaper 2-magazine 2-book (I know that list makes no sense, just tossing out words in a list)

Exactly that Fuzzy! I looked at the developer page but still not sure how you did that, are you putting the
tags on each line, or each section? I must be dense not to get it.

what the code tags do, is turn off the software reducing spacing to 1 space between characters "1-milk 2-cookies" becomes "1-milk 2-cookies" normally without the code tags

Quote: what the code tags do, is turn off the software reducing spacing to 1 space between characters It also uses a font that every single character is the same width.

Once I saw the courier font I figured that part out, took some counting (a lot) and a few preview screens before the post was just right, but it worked well. Thanks again for your help Bobby and Fuzzy!
