I went to bed last night very happy after buying this item on E-Bay, figured I made a real good deal on a Morgan Tailbar coin
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...WON.m313.lVI

And than this morning as I go to pay for the item I see this.
http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m14248709605

That coin was worth way more than I payed so I figure this is total BS and just a story. What is your opinions?

boomer,
I can't see the second link. It takes me directly to the ebay sign in page. I'll assume that the seller pulled the item. What was the story?

Here is what he sent me

"Sorry for the inconvience but this coin and many others that I was going to list have been taken. I will be ending my ebay account due to family problems. I am sorry for this but it was out of my hands. Bad divorce. My appoligies once again."

There is a coin graded XF-40 on E-Bay store not even as good as this one for $650. I think I better go back to bed.

If you had already paid the best you could hope for would be a refund ,, I don't think you will be able to force the person to sell the coin ,especially if He don't care about His ebay account.

you can always report him and see what happens if your into the stress .

Personally I think your better off not dealing with an unstable person.

I guess I don't see any reason not to believe him. Maybe his wife left with the coins. Or he is prevented from selling them until after the divorce settlement. Wish him well and move on.

Seems like this guy is legitimate. He has lots of positive feedback and has sold some higher-end coins. Unless you plan on hopping a flight to Ohio and pursuing this in small claims court, you'd better file a complaint with ebay, drop some negative feedback and forget it happened.

Coin was much better than this one but this sure makes one wonder. I let him off the hook and do not want to stress over this after I have cooled off. Will wish him well as I believe in Karma if he is BS's me. Thanks to all you guys for helping me get some education.
