I have been slowly collecting coins for at least 16 years now, started as a young teenager when my great grandmother left me 8 Walking Liberty half dollars. I collect mostly US coins 1964 and older, the silver ones of course. For pennies I tend to only hold onto 1959 and older. Been debating lately about holding onto maybe 1979 and older though as I have gotten older and those coins get older in turn. I have probably been outbidding some people here lately on ebay.. been buying a ton of indian head, Liberty nickels and large cents the last few weeks. I look for the good deals in their last few minutes of auction and buy them for $0.99 or a little more if I feel it's worth it. I'd like to expand my collection into morgan's, more liberty coins, draped coins etc.. the very early US coinage. With the wealth of knowledge I have seen here this site could really help with not buying fakes or overpaying to badly. Anyways, I could go on but I will stop here and get to know everyone as I venture into the forums. Feel free to ask questions or compare coins. Thanks! Report this Post to the Staff
