A souvenir, I think. Every real one I've seen has a denomination (although there are plenty of souvenirs that have denominations).

There are SO MANY of the fractional California Gold that you really need to have an expert in that area advise you, which I am not.

The first coin I ever got burned on (when I was about 12 years old) was a "California Gold". I thought it would be awesome to own a gold coin and it was the only one at the show I could afford.

Sent to ANACS (way back when they ONLY did authentication - and it was bad.

Never played with them again.
