I think that's what this is, but I'm unsure as I'm still new to the vamming thing. and its gets difficult when its not something obvious or glaring.

It's not an 85. VAM85 is a B1 reverse (long nock).

Edit to add - maybe VAM195?

well the disconnected olive branch is what made me think of 85 as only VAM 60-85 have that variety.

The disconnected leaf isn't necessarily a clue. Keep in mind, the time between the original 8TF reverse and the final Reverse of 1879 was only about three weeks in March 1878. The Mint was scrambling to figure out how to meet a production schedule of $2 Million in silver a month, continuously modifying the design and reworking dies to keep them in production. As a result, this coin having a disconnected olive branch when the feature is not listed for the variety does not surprise me in the least.
