Weird Wheats

I thought these two wheats were pretty strange. The first are from a 1957D. Both the 9 and the B got filled. The last one is a 1953S with the 9 filled. I found these two coins less then 10 apart from each other in a bucket of 50s wheats I am going threw for the neighbor.

I think those are small die chips. Weak portions of the lettering on the die break off, which are then filled with copper during striking. The years 53-57 were unusually prolific for die chips in the date and LIBERTY.

Also D mint marks are included. The post that would form the inside portion breaks off and the mint mark is missing the inside shape of the letters/numbers.
