edweather Pillar of the Community United States 7375 Posts	Posted 08/17/2015 12:18 pm Certainly no expert here, but imo, more likely a RPM, RePunched Mintmark, but there are over 25 of them for 1953S and it's hard to see yours. Is it possible to get a close-up? Maybe an expert can comment better. Report this Post to the Staff

tweak800 Pillar of the Community United States 1249 Posts	Posted 08/17/2015 8:01 pm Yeah I see what your saying the mintmark looks to actually be touching and that shouldnt be this is another coin where the mint has tolerances because they where done by hand so a little off north or south, ect,ect is ok but yours I would love to see if it is actually touching but its way off.
