I was asked to go through a family member's coin collection and came across a little box with this nickel inside. Thought I would share some photos. I did a little research on these sort of nickels and one source deemed this guy as "the streak" because of the lack of a collar on the neck. There is another similar face called "nature boy" which they think was done by the same artist. Is anyone familiar with value associated with these? Thanks

Wow, that's really cool! I've always had a fascination with Hobo nickels, but they are just darn too expensive!

There needs to be a comprehensive price guide either in physical or digital form about Hobo Nickels. There are many, many distinct varieties.

It appears that with this type of coin series counterfeiting would be irrelevant being that each coin looks to be hand made without any 'official' and repeatable numismatic designations.
