I didn't really want to start a separate thread, but my question wasn't getting the attention! :)

Anyways, the 2008 RedBook.... When was it published? I mean will the 2009 come out soon making it worth the wait? I'm not familiar with when these get released. Or should I just get the 2008? I kinda want to run to the store tonight if its not too late to get the 08 if its worth it... thanks

http://www.amazon.com/Official-Red-...43896&sr=1-6 has a listed release date of April 8, 2008 for the 2009 edition.

I know that I've had the 2008 for several months now........so if that holds true then each new edition is out before the actual year printed on the cover. So, obviously it wouldn't include/list any coin values for 2008 and possibly even be incomplete for "all" coins released late in 2007. It's just blank on some coins because they print the book before some coins are released.
Except for full mintage numbers, I'd guess that the 2008 edition is pretty complete for coins up to 2006.........I use that observance as a guideline and believe it to be acurate

They are releasing the RedBook far too early in my opinion. They should push it back at least 4 months, so that the final guide is a better and more current reflection of prices. Or maybe abandon the book altogether and go to real-time pricing on-line, like PCGS, and just include the pictures, information and history, which stays pretty much the same every year in the RedBook.
