I am familiar with the puffin and half-puffin of 1929, which are quite well documented.

Surfing the net I find further coins allegedly released, as follows:

1965 - 1/2, 1

1977 - 1/2, 1

2011 - 1/2, 1, 2, 4, 6

These all appear to be fantasy issues. The 1977-dated pieces only recently seem to have appeared.

Does anyone know a good source of information?

Who issued them? When? Why?

Are they just there to suck real money out of collectors' wallets?

Have the 1977 pieces only recently been made, or have I just missed them?

Thanks for that.

I am familiar with these references, but they only serve to whet the appetite.
