Arcadius Ae2 Or Ae4 Or Doesn't It Matter?

Topcat7 Pillar of the Community 1121 Posts	Posted 08/20/2015 05:04 am My Arcadius coin appears to be RIC IX Cyzicus 27b (Wildwinds) . . . .BUT on 'Wildwinds' it is described as an 'AE4' and mine is an 'AE2' (22mm). What do I do, and why, (please)? Report this Post to the Staff

Being new to 'ancient' coins I didn't know if the 'ancients' produced the same coin in different sizes to indicate a different denomination (value). The info on Wildwinds appears a little vague at best to me, They seem to have omitted the size/measurements of the coins but are more than happy to give it a title At 22mm it is a large coin for the Emperor and if its weight is 5g + then I would dismiss the Wildwinds info and go with AE2, it cant be anything else as far as I can see.
