My Arcadius coin appears to be RIC IX Cyzicus 27b (Wildwinds) . . . .BUT
on 'Wildwinds' it is described as an 'AE4' and mine is an 'AE2' (22mm).
What do I do, and why, (please)?

Probably just a typo or they just made a mistake when doing the attribution

I guess that happens. Thanks B.D.
Being new to 'ancient' coins I didn't know if the 'ancients' produced the same coin in different sizes to indicate a different denomination (value).
I hadn't heard of it, but them again I haven't heard 'everything' . . . . (yet).
Thanks again.

The coin on wildwinds is 14mm so it is A4.

Helvetica has the coin listed as an AE2 for RIC IX 27b. I didn't see any listing for an AE4 but just might be a variation of the same type.

TC said it was from Cyzicus and Wildwinds 27b is an AE4. Heraclea has a 27b which is AE2. I can't read the mint.

Hi TC,
At 22mm I would call it an AE2.
Mintmark - SMKB,CYZICUS.
The info on Wildwinds appears a little vague at best to me,
They seem to have omitted the size/measurements of the coins but are more than happy to give it a title
At 22mm it is a large coin for the Emperor and if its weight is 5g + then I would dismiss the Wildwinds info and go with AE2, it cant be anything else as far as I can see.

i don't recall seeing one of the type that was an AE 4, almost all of them are AE 2. I think BD is correct.

@ T.B. The weight is 3.6 gm.

Thanks for all of that, people.
You have at least confirmed my attribution, and I think that I will move away from 'AE2' or 'AE4' and for 'safety's' sake I will go with 'AE22' .
Thanks, again.
