If I had to guess they're paying $4.01 in hopes a buyer will leave great feedback. Only logical thing I could come up with.

ebay never fails to astonish. Not sure what's worse a shady seller or a gullible cheap buyer. Not saying that is what is going on here but""..................

It's not going to be fake he has an A+ out of 4000+ reviews...simply put he is just trying to boost his feedback so he can sell other items. No one is gullible here that's his way of doing things and we are just snagging up a good deal. :)

To me it seems like the seller is looking to hit 5K in a hurry. Maybe at 5K the seller fees will decrease. I'm quite confident I will be getting a legit bill with some scribbles on it. Probably the seller's lol.

Not sure about others but a dollar is not high risk for me. Like Kairu said even if it's fake it's low risk high reward

Feedback solicitation ... against ebay's rules.

If he wants to sell five dollar bills for 99 cents it's nobody's business but his. I have no idea his reasoning.
I didn't see anything in his listing that even hints of FB solicitation or manipulation.

Pawn... I don't think you do get it. A heck of a lot of difference between a loss of $4.01 on a $5 bill and a $20000 profit on an $11000 (at the best) Trade dollar. Don't cha think? I'm sure both Seller's motives for doing what they do are somewhat different, too. One is advertising, the other is looking for, and shafting, an uninformed Buyer.

Quote: I don't think you do get it. I get it perfectly. I just think it's pathetic that a seller gets ridiculed for asking what he wants for anything. Just move on if you don't like it, not a big deal. Should ebay put limits on what you're allowed to ask for items so people don't get upset?
