The 9 in the date looks really thick on the tail. I checked doubleddie and coppercoins web sites but coudn't find anything similar. Any ideas?

I wonder if something came in to contact with the coin as the 3 also shows flattening? Wait for the pros.

I see the same mark on the 1 at the same angle. So I'm leaning towards coin contact in this area.

Nothing special about 1936 cents in particular, my avatar is a 1936P-1DO-001. Found it in a 2008 mixed date LMC roll
