Plucked from a pawn shop's "junk silver dollar" tray today for $14. Die crack at the base of Liberty's neck. Late die state for both obverse and reverse as evidenced by faint but definite radial flow lines in the fields.
That is a crack in the die, and its size, shape and location is easily confused with several others that are caused in that region by the heat treatments and work hardening.
