Plucked from a pawn shop's "junk silver dollar" tray today for $14. Die crack at the base of Liberty's neck. Late die state for both obverse and reverse as evidenced by faint but definite radial flow lines in the fields.

That line is VERY linear.
I wouldn't be surprised if it were a die scratch.

That is a crack in the die, and its size, shape and location is easily confused with several others that are caused in that region by the heat treatments and work hardening.
