I have this 1864 Indian Head and in doing the research I think it might be the "L" variety. Need some savvy people to take a look.

I think somewhere it said the bust is pointed on 1864 without L's and rounded on 1864 with L's.

That is the the Snow 5 obverse. The obverse is paired with two reverses, one with die sinking at 6:00 and the other will develop a die chip or break at the bottom right of the E of ONE.

.

1864 CN- rounded bust
1864 bronze no L-rounded bust
1864 bronze with L-pointed bust

also could possibly be a Snow-5 (RPD)

looks like indiancentvarieties beat me to it

OK, thanks guys, now the second question, as far as value, do you see it any more than about $60 or so...and is ebay the best place to sell or are there better places...more eyes.

Not worth $60 with the obverse damage. It would sell in the $20 to $30 range on ebay, unless you have 100,000 feedback with a religious following.
