This 1794 cent (head of 1794) has a little corrosion. ANACS called it fine details, and net VG-8. I know some people don't believe in net grades, but I like them so I can estimate a value for the coin. How would you grade this coin?

I'd say it has a lot of corrosion, and would give it a net grade of G6. Not a bad coin for an early copper, coins like this 10 years ago were $5-10 at the most, today it's hard to find them under $50.00 an more like $80-100.

Heavy porosity but very common for this type. I like the amount of detail on the obverse. I'd agree with F details. Net VG8

VG-8 (net). Are these pics before you sent it to ANACS or did you break it out?

ChildOfTheWheat, I bought it on ebay. I can't remember if it was slabbed when I got it, or if I took the seller's word for it. Anyhow, I've broken the few slabbed coins I've bought out of their slabs so I could put them into coin albums.
