I wonder if anyone knows or has had dealings with any European supplier of banknotes.

I am looking to buy a $5 woodchopper (clean, without tears and minimal folds but not super high grade) and there are many on ebay but all from the states. By the time you add on the import duty and postage they just don't work out well enough for me to buy one.

In the old days there were a few sellers who would simply put notes in an envelope and declare the face value so that no fee's were incurred, now they all seem to have customs and duty to pay at checkout. (at least it doesn't come as a surprise to buyers in this instance)

Anyway, the long and short is I need to buy from the European Union and there are none on ebay.co.uk, so any idea's?

Hello DavidUK;
There is a CC member here who's user name is "hajduk". He lives in Germany and is an avid collector of US Notes. I'm sure he could point you in the right direction.

Good Luck

My thought exactly. He's a great guy and must be getting his things without the sort of hassle you describe. Hit the Members tab above.
