I've been hitting up all the local coin shops lately and for some reason I have no self control when I get inside the door. I was picking up some coins to fill some holes in my 7070 and this note was just sitting there begging me to take it home.

While it's not the most expensive or even highest grade note, it's my first gold note.

I used the American pickers (as seen on the history channel) bundle technique so not really sure as to what he priced it out at. I payed $400 for this note, an 1804 Half Cent, an 1848 liberty head large cent,an 1857 Flying Eagle cent, an 1865 2 cent piece, and an 1877 Trade dollar. I think he started at around $200 for the note though.

Actually, not a bad deal for everything. Very nice indeed.

I've been wanting a nice example of one of these for a while. You beat me to it.

That's a beautiful note.

It's been folded but there are no tears, so that's really nice.

I used the American Pickers bundle technique at the ANA show and I think I did okay. I figured out what percentage I 'saved' and applied that discount percentage to each item.
