Harkness Valued Member United States 70 Posts	Posted 09/01/2015 2:24 pm What could cause a smooth edge? I can't take pictures because my camera is broken so I'll do my best to explain. I firmly believe it isn't PMD. It has a smooth, slightly bottle capped edge. The face looks flattened out. There is very, very slight reeding, and the edge is perfectly flat and not rounded at all. It's a millimeter or so thicker on the edge than a regular quarter, and it weighs 5.7g. Any ideas or would I need to take pictures? I will as soon as I can, but I'm not sure when that'll be. Haha. I suspect someone played with it, if it was done at the mint it would have either no reeds at all(flat collar or reeds(reeded collar) there is no in-between. I also do not see how it would have a higher rim. My thoughts are that some one was tapping the edge to smoothen it and possibly make a ring. Feel free to call me Will. Report this Post to the Staff
