I've just found an odd $2 coin, would you guys say this happened at the mint?

Rim Cud which is common and happened at the mint

Yep, Rim Cud it is. I have 6 x 2006 $2 with Rim Cuds. They also occur a lot on $1 & 5c, a bit less often on 10c & 20c and occasionally on 50c.

Some coins even have 2 Rim Cuds, on the same side and sometimes on opposite sides. This is usually confined to $2 & $1 coins.

Hi there. I'm not a coin collector but found this rather odd looking $2 coin in my purse and wondered if it's a fake? Or genuine? Can anybody help? Thanks so much! I'm super curious.
