I have no clue what "GFD" means but your coin looks normal based on that image.

the L's bottom looks shorter then another '64 I have so I though it was possibly a Grease Filled Die

It might be vending machine damage. It seem to close to the edge to be coin wrapper damage. Slight grease as you mentioned could do this also. What ever, it is not a premium for the coin.
