I'm going through an old photo album I came into and I thought all you "note takers" & "bill collectors" would wanna see it... Its a ww2 era wife flashing a huge wad of hundreds.. I wonder what she was up to in the post depression, war rationing era

Boy that's a great pic!!

Think of what $1,200 back then was worth in today's dollars - what, maybe 25 grand?

According to the US Dept of Labor inflation calculator $1200 in 1944 is equal to $16270 today. Perhaps she was buying a house? Cool photo.

Not sure how old this Treasury Vault Photo is, but the 2 center boxes on the top shelf are 4,000 Note case's of $10,000.00 Gold Certificates--- with a face value of 40 Million Dollars per Box/Case.. The center box on the bottom shelf are $500.00 Gold Certificates..

I had taken these photos from my laptop screen with my camera, then loaded & cropped them...

I have no idea if the photos I had taken are copyrighted or not, I just thought they were awesome as most are Gold Certificates... One of the photos showed a large Calendar displaying November 1914...

That's what I was thinking. Or sold one.
