New Collector

Hello everyone! As the subject says, I'm a new collector. I've only been at it a few months. 30 years ago I was given a 1984 double dollar proof set from the RCM. It sat in a drawer all these years until recently. I discovered that my friends husband is a collector and he urged me to find out what my 1984 set was by researching it myself as opposed to him answering my questions. He told me I'd have fun. He was right! I've since discovered this whole world of coins that I'd never paid attention to before. I'm having a blast reading and learning about coins that interest me. So far I'm interested in prestige/proof sets, $20 for $20 series, Canadian silver dollars, early Canadian and British coinage as well as crusader coinage. I'm looking forward to being a member here, thank you :)
