For the '71 There's hairlines though. The angle of the pics makes it impossible to tell.

Many of those hairlines seem to be circular, moving around the central design. Is that a remnant of polishing? Jack

For some reason, when you report the FAKES, they seem to take notice, Bobby. You are definitely 'da MAN! In the future, I should just report the FAKES to you (lol). It would actually save time. You know you saved some poor bidder more than a hundred bucks with that report. Thanks, Jack

I just don't understand how ebay can just blindly let these things get listed. The listings all say " Old Chinese Coin Valuable Worth Collecting." Then, in the description they are described as, " Brand New, Never Opened, Undamaged packaging." Shouldn't that be a RED FLAG for such listings. It's become obvious that ebay is fully content to let the bidder be FRAUDED, and that makes them complicit. They seem quick to penalize honest people who list items with TRUTHFUL DESCRIPTIONS, and then blindfold themselves as they continue to list items from Sellers with names like iscruDyu. Great work Drew. Those bidders will never know it was you who helped them, but we all do . Jack

Here is another one that is being discussed at another forum. Really poor quality fake so I don't think anyone but a total novice would fall for it. 1872 CC SEATED LIBERTY SILVER DOLLAR 111768397431

Another poor quality fake. Apparently even the seller doesn't even believe in it since they started it at $9.99. 1840 Seated Liberty Silver Dollar $1 Coin - Very good condition 191688378942

Can these Sellers be so lucky to only have novices for Buyers? Did you notice BOTH sellers have 100% positive feedback? Anyhoo, I reported both coins. We'll see what happens. For some reason the reports I send in don't carry as much weight as others, here at CCF. Jack

Saw these discussed as fakes on another forum. I agree. Apparently others have sent messages to the seller. He/she vehemently denies selling fakes and has a nasty attitude. 1846 Seated Liberty dollar AU 2817992437651864-s Seated half dollar281799241260Thought that I'd add these to this thread to reduce forum clutter.

I was looking through that Seller's feedback and noticed that he sold an 1885 CC Morgan to someone for $638.00! I sure hope that person got what he paid for. I could be wrong but, the two coins referenced above do not look authentic to me. Jack

I also located this fake on ebay and opened a thread on another forum. And reported it ebay. I emailed the sell and he got real nasty with me. Another long time member thought they were real. Go figure.
