Silver, have you tested to make sure it's a solid mass rather than a linear plating bubble?

Can you show a picture of the whole reverse? I had a similar possibility a couple months ago, and it ended up being a die sscratch that could be seen extending below the memorial building as well as in the bay.

But good luck. I hoped this is an extra column.

When the dies are fresh there are 4 columns that have a line beside them to show a 3-d effect.

When the dies are polished, parts/sometimes all the column maybe removed. A partially removed column is what your are seeing. There is also split plating on the tops of the IC on AMERICA. No premium for these. Sorry

I learned something too. Take a look at the 1992 D coin in the following link at Heritage Auctions. What is left of your coin looks very much like much like the upper part of the full column. Blow up the reverse pic to get the best view.
