Cool find!
It is a 1963 Lincoln Memorial cent minted at the Philadelphia mint.
In circulated condition, this coin is only worth face value, but it is a nice older coin to hang on to for your collection.
S mint marks are for San Francisco, D mint marks are for Denver cents and no mint marks, or plain cents are minted at the Philadelphia mint.

As early as I can remember, my dad would show me his collection of coins when no one else was around. I suppose I have always been interested in them. I have had my own collection (not always organized) for as long as I can remember. I guess it would have been the very early 1970's.
What reading would I recommend? Well that's easy: http://www.lincolncentsonline.com/

I would recommend reading the RedBook by Whitman.
Tons of info in that book.

It's amazing how many blazers like these can be still found in circulation from the 60's.

That's because they made so many of them that old hoards (penny jars) are still getting dumped back to the banks. Also people inherit old hoards of rolls (See where Coop said he has 80 BU rolls of this coin) and then when they find that they really can't sell them for more than face value just spend them.

Think about it. What would YOU do with 80 BU rolls of 1963 cents? What would a non-collector do with them? What would you do if a non-collector brought them to you?

That is a pretty Lincoln Memorial cent. According to NumisMedia, fair market value is 2 cents.
