I am going deep into the vault on these. I have had these coins for years but want to share.

I love this crusty little fella. It has tons of luster that I just cannot capture for full photo appreciation. I often wonder how weak the strike on the center band was when compared to the strike of the upper and lower bands. Denver victim? AU50? EF45?

I like the effect of this one. The hair looks good, the fasces are well split, but the strike in the reverse is centrally very weak. I think it's an AU53 or better and the apparent wear is more the weak strike than actual wear.

Bigger pics would help, but right now I see an AU coin here.

Looks AU but to what degree is hard to tell from the small photos.

like a crusty little cracker!

Its so mottled over and that makes it super attractive to my eye. Its so much better in-hand than these pics can truly show. I think its a solid AU and my bias wants to say AU55. There really is not wear as much as there is weak strike on this one. If it had not been for the end of the roll life it led with the reverse sticking out for however many years, I think it would have made an UNC grade. Am I wrong or is the upper hair detail and the mercury wings not MS with some weak strike on other parts of Liberty's head?
Rest in Peace

Yeah, a hard one to be able to tell but, it looks AU-50 to me, the reverse looks like it has a bit of wear.

I'll beg off, too. Detail on bands is unclear.

The obverse is nice but the reverse makes it hard for me to make a grade for the coin as a whole...
