I can't give a lot of specific help but it definitely looks medeival to me. The cross on the back makes me think maybe it's a crusader coin? That last part is just a guess, but this definitely looks medieval to me.

Thanks Arael. I think that you are right. The cross does look medieval. But I wonder what the other symbols are?

My best guess after looking a little on Vcoins (it seems like Wildwinds is down?) That it's definitely medieval and probably Italian, but I'm sure that somebody with more knowledge than I have will come along soon and settle this question for both of us!

its a french coin called a denier

it has quite alot of history and prolly a decent amount in that state
