Not sure where they came from, what they are and if they are of any value. It's the type of thing handed out at New Year and maybe birthdays. I've not seen them used for advertising before as in the first coin. Report this Post to the Staff

Indian culture is VERY big on stocking up on previous metals for a rainy day. They all seem to have religious connotation, but that does not necessarily mean their purpose is religious--they could be anything from a birthday gift to a "thank you for your patronage" gift. Free henna with a hair cut? Gambling token. I don't know, maybe from little machine at temple? They could be anything, I'm not an expert. They lean me to look in those directions.
