Hey guys I just won this Seated Liberty quarter , I needed this coin for my type set ... Now other than the one I just purchased their is only one more xf45 Seated quarter graded by anacs EF 45 details. So I'm trying to figure out about what the value of this coin is , they are priced in the 120 plus range On ebay as BIN.. Now I understand that's different than actual value .. So does anyone know about what an average value and a fair price for these coins in this grade ? I also understand each coin depending on Several thing will affect that value , but I'm just looking for a ball park figure!! Please don't give me a what ever it sold for last or what ever you can get out of it .... There had to be an average price or value of these coins.... *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

The NCG coin is nice and original - I would value it at $80, maybe a little higher. Hard to say on the ANACS coin without a pic, but obviusly it would be much less.

@coinguy
A) its worth what someone is willing to pay is the real answer no matter what you find out B) go do some research and you'll find, very quickly, what you're seeking. Go to HA.Com, narrow down to this exact coin and you'll have auction records
good luck

@ dsfreeworld I did that on ebay found only two past sells for this year, date and grade , one was this coin and the other was a anacs ef45 details ! The others where bin coins with prices over 100 bucks ... I really don't plan to sell the coin unless possibly to upgrade in the future ... I was more or less trying to find out if I paid a fair price , got a deal or overpaid !! I'm not familiar with heritage auctions , I've never purchased from them ... I suppose I could search their past auctions or great collections ... By the way I paid 53 for the coin including shipping , so maybe you guys can tell me how I done ....

The mismatch between the obverse and reverse toning kills it a bit for me, but it's a nice Liberty Seated quarter, and I wouldn't mind having it, either, especially for what you paid, which is well back of market. :)

$53 I am in all day on a TPG encased problem free LSQ in EF. Great price. Good move researching ebay although the sampling size is not great as you saw. Wait until you get done with HA and than check out David Lawrence archives as well.

Paralyse - Don't see the mismatch between obverse and reverse toning - thoughts please.

I believe this is what he is referring to ! The reverse appears to be a tad lighter in color than the obverse.. It really doesn't bother me that much and it may look a little different in hand ... I'm hoping it will make a nice piece for my set ... Here's a couple better photos.

For $53 you did well. A retail guesstimate on that coin would likely be around $65 to $75.

Obverse is evenly toned, reverse is lighter by a shade and blotchier.
