Hello everyone, My name is Thomas Yarbrough, I'm from the Adirondacks in upstate NY and have been collecting, as I've seen here on the forum, coins from the "dark side" ever since the early 1980s when my Uncle handed me some old French coins he came into when he served in WWII. I do understand this forum is mostly, or at least most actively, a U.S. coin forum so hopefully I can learn a thing or two about them and perhaps start collecting them myself! Only problem is the expense of some of the few U.S. coins I remember buying. I have found that Large Foreign Silver coins, aka "Crowns" in very nice shape (which is what I collect) are, for lack of a better term, "a dime a dozen" when compared to silver dollars. Perhaps I should move to copper, haha! Anyway, just wanted to officially introduce myself and say happy hunting to all! Thanks for stopping by! Tom

I'm fond of large silver too--British crowns and florins.
