Hello,
I don't know much about doubling, but I was looking at some quarters I have that are still in their mint cellophane wrappers and noticed what looks like doubling along the nose and facial profile of Washington. This is a 1988 P quarter. Is this Machine Doubling, or a double die? And regardless of which it is, does it have any extra special premium over a regular uncirculated quarter? Thanks!

If it were hub doubling the edge of the profile would still be rounded. It is flat so it is machine damaged during the strike. Here are examples of the difference.
