I like it.Has a medieval style to it.
But it has a look that reminds of a
coin I have that I thought was real but wasn't.
Hope yours is the real deal.

G'day, a very interesting coin. Often said to be an early step toward decimalization.
The Gothic image, or one very similar, was also used on lot of Indian coins.
When "God" was restored to the florin, the font of the legend went Gothic also, and the date was in Roman numerals, which results in a very cluttered appearance - and difficult to read.
This series (with God restored) continued upto 1887, when the Jubilee head was introduced.

Quite well worn for such an unpopular coin. I'd grade it at best a British VF, American EF.

The consensus on CoinsGB seems to be an aVF which seems right to me also.
Pity about the cleaning/ scratching really...
^Peter, yes I have seen the Gothic Victoria on a 1 Rupee of 1901 which I own - where she looks rather young for her age!
