Looks like a normal 1980 D cent. The discoloration could be caused oxidation and climate in your area of the world.

Actually it's probably plated. You'll have to weigh it. Normal weight should be 3.11 grams, and plated it would weigh closer to 3.2 grams. If it's far off these weights, then it could be something, but there's a better than 95% chance it's plated.

It's plated or lightly spray painted. I am not even going to offer another possibility. I see these quite often.
