Hi guys

I'm hoping someone can help.

Unfortunately my father passed away recently however, when clearing out under the stairs I came across a box and books full of coins dating back back to the 1600s.

These are not just uk pre-decimal but also international coins again dating back to pre 1800, I wanted to see if there was anyone that is interested in looking at the catalogue that we have put together for these coins.

Now from what I can see alot of the pre decimal coins are not in VF condition however they are readable and you are still able to see what the coin is.

The international coins are VF.

Would anyone be able to help?

Two question to help others help you and determine value:

1. Are there any gold coins? These are valuable and in demand.
2. Are there any United States coins? Just about everything prior to 1900 would have some value (and in some cases, serious value) in VF.

I'm sure many of us would love to look at your catalogue so we know what we are dealing with. Now being able to share it would be difficult.

Hey guys

I only have a 1 cent 1832

The other 65 1 cents are 1947 onward.

Another 38 in 5 cents, dime and quarter dollars and also a 1964 half dollar.

As for some of the UK coins see pic attached

As a rule British Bronze & Copper coins are not worth much unless you have them in top grades or scarce dates. You will probably get a better idea (and a shock) by looking at final realised prices on ebay. Many sell for 99p, if they sell at all.

All your British silver coins prior to 1947 are worth at least scrap price of silver, but maybe more depending on grade.

Your 64 Half Dollar is silver - worth about £6-7, and it all depends on what condition your USA 1832 cent is in. Could be anything from £5-£70+

Pictures of the coins would be more helpful. We could more easily see if the grade is correct etc. I would take photos of the older UK pre Victorian and the Older US coins atleast.
