i have this 1917 quarter
think its a type 2

looks like the bird side is cleaned a bit

Sure! I use PCGS photograde to see what the grades look like, they have an app too. It is based on the wear, lustre, details, and strike.

I'm at 45, but see no evidence of cleaning. Looks nice to me.
