Well I was quite disappointed that the Caracalla denarius I bought at the start of the month is missing in transit, I have been offered a refund so I went on Vcoins to look for another.

Unfortunately despite the number of similar coins on there nothing came close in terms of character and eye appeal (or value for money) so my attention drifted over to Henry VIII (I have always wanted one of his coins but they tend to be expensive) I saw this one, relatively good value, not the best example by any means but everything can be read and we can still see his face so not the worst example either.

So I got him ^^ he can sit next to his daughter Elizabeth in the space I left for him a few years ago. :)

Not my area of collecting, but if it were Henry VIII would be on the top my list. Very nice coin with excellent details.

That's a really nice example - A ruler that's on my hit list though I won't be able to pick up one as nice as that.

I have to admit that the quality is not the best, but who could resist that unmissable face?
I really like my 1546-1547 Henry VIII 'Groat.

For all its faults the portrait is worth having there TC, and instantly recognisable.
