Maybe they were both left quarter-folded in a wallet for a long time. Remarkable.

jimbucks - That is incredible. I love the FRBNs like you, but I almost cannot imagine that match-up.

Mr. Frog, if you think that is incredible, I bought them raw from separate buyers on the same day on ebay buy-it-now back in the 1990s. Both raw. Now they are both in PMG F-12 holders. Edit - no problem PMG holders. No tears, no pinholes, etc.

I wasn't sure if I should post this here or the Recent Purchases thread...so here is what I decided. Series 1995 $2 FRN's remind me of Henry Ford's beloved Model T...you can get it in any color you want as long as that color is Black. You can have any District 1995 $2 note you want as long as that District is Atlanta. All regular issue 1995 $2 FRN's were from the Atlanta District. Even the sheets issued are all Atlanta District sheets. Special issue replacement notes going straight to collectors were available for all 12 Districts but none went directly into circulation. This note comes in a BEP tri-fold brochure as a special issue Independence Note. It went on sale July 1st 2002 for $6.95 and was limited to 25,000 issued. I won this note a couple of weeks back from Heritage. My winning bid was $1. With the juice and shipping it ended up about $27. all in.
