Hey guys

I ran across this Seated dime on ebay earlier today ..
The coins appears to have a decent amount of luster from what I can tell ..
These listing photos are pretty bad , I've got nice coins for low prices with these ( bad photo gambles ) in the past but have also purchased a few I've regretted .. I believe I can get this coin cheap enough that it wouldn't be a big lose if it didn't turn out has I'd hoped ..
From what I can tell I'm thinking this coin is in the EF 40 to AU 50 range ..
What would you guys guess on this one ?

Just hope that there are no hairline scratches, marks, or dings that the pics are hiding!

Might be an old clean that it is hiding?

I wouldn't make a decision based on those pics.

I don't see any luster, just dirt..well, I don't see much of anything.

Bad pictures = seller is not proud of the coin or simply does not care...not a good sign..ask for semi-decent pics or walk away.

Could be a hidden scratch but as far as the surfaces and detail this coin looks like a nice XF40. I wouldn't say this coin has luster.

Just guess XF detail valued at $10 max and it'll be hard to go wrong. I see small rim dings but no worse than 40 details.

Is there any chance of providing the viewers with the URL to this ebay listing?
Rest in Peace

This one is a real gamble. the meat is there, but are all the fixins there ?
Wouldn't grade it higher than a possible EF-40 .

It all will come down to what price you can get on this. Price it for the worst case - if it goes above that price, let it go; otherwise it is all upside. I too have both scored and lost on "bad picture" auctions. Far more wins than losses though. Like you said, it is a gamble.
