Looks like a 1942 over 1941, that's a bummer. Why do bad things happen to good coins?

It's odd. Usually Cents are honed out to fit a Dime. What could fit inside a Dime?

Your thinking backwards. This is the dime that has had the thinkness lathed down to fit inside the cent.

Not really. At a local magic shop I picked up few coins like these. One was a Cent and a Dime fit in it with no problem. A bit shows but in a magic trick, not noticed at all.
