I used to buy quite a few coins from a site called based in Canada called numismall. It was run by a man called Alex Fishman, I didn't know him personally but he was always really good to do business with. Anyway the site shut down about a year ago and the page has said closed for maintenance since then. All the items disappeared from the accompanying ebay store as well. Did anyone else use this site and do they know whether it's gone for good? It was one of the few places I knew of which had a large stock of Mauryan punch-marked coins.

That is the 64 dollar question. They were up and running one day and gone the next. I've been trying to find out even since they stopped selling but haven't been able to get any information what happened.

There is a thread over at Cointalk, started last month by a guy with a really cool avatar, dealing with this issue:

Thanks for the link, it makes things a little clearer. I found Dr Fishman's educational site today. It was somehow linked to the main Numismall site so its not all working, but most of it is up and running. It also has a contact email.
