Hi
I would appreciate any insight into this coin, which I make out to be a 1552 crown, silver, 40mm 30.8g
I am not a collector or know anything about coins so any advice on how to grade this coin in view of selling it would be great (it is very slightly bent and slightly thicker on one edge), sadly its just scrap metal to a heretic like me
thanks

If you call a regal, fine silver issue Crown of Edward VI, 1552, Tun, with wire inner circle, slightly double struck, to be naught but scrap metal, I'd like to see what artifacts you do esteem. Sadly this bit of dross may well exceed a dozen score of pounds in value, and of course who would stoop to pick up such a diminutive slug if it lay shining in the lane. Sell it to the junk man. By the by, did I tell you such junk jinks my bailiwick? One man's trash... and all that. Thanks for sharing your conundrum.

@Pistareen, point taken, I need to take this coin seriouslly, my idea of artifacts is 70's prog/psych albums but I should be more appreciative of other's likes

@Peter1234 - well I daresay it is quite good, the coin too ;)
good points on the uk forum, will check one out, common sense doesn't come to meeasily, due to the former I suspect

One man's junk is VERY much another man's treasure.
That is the case in point with this coin.

Lots of coin collectors would be happy to acquire a 1552 Crown for a reasonable price, and would be willing to accept a lower condition to do so.
