Well for starters I'll tell you your 1826 is an 1838.

To id an an 1838 Capped Bust half the only reference I know that covers them is Dick Graham's A Registry of Die Varieties of Reeded Edge Half Dollars 1836-1839

There is also another book on the reeded edge halves, and there is Jules Reiver's quick finders guide. But GRaham's work is the latest word. Unfortunately it is out of print and difficult to locate. (Frankly they are all hard to find.)

Well, I can say with absolute certainty it is not an 1826 - looks like a 1838 GR-14 Reeded Edge half. The die crack through HA, lower leaves, left wing, etc is telling. Check for a crack from rim through S1 (hard to tell from the photo).
