I received this coin about 10 years ago from a friend who spend a holiday in Tunesia . I never saw a fake coin with such an edge.
The real coin is a AE30 , obv : head of Tanit left , rev : horse before a palmtree , 30 mm , 16,2 gr , time of the second Punic war : ca 220/202 BC.
The color looks like impure gold and the coin has been used as pendant.
What is your opinion ?

I see what appeasr to be numerous casting bubbles plus soft details but with a sharp edge makes me believe it is fake.

The edge appears to have been roughly filed; presumably, either to try to obliterate the casting seam, or to make it fit inside the pendant.

I have seen genuine ancient coins that have been filed into a round shape, to fit nicely into a pendant.
