gnome: Here's your pic... Now that I have scanned it, it does kind of look like it may just be a REALLY nice coin and the letters and rims on the 'regular circulation' examples are just more worn. The Scan does NOT do justice to the shine and condition of this coin (but my scanner is quite brutal, showing up flaws that Ive never noticed on coins - a good thing a lot of the time actually!). Either way, its still a keeper! :) My 'nice' 1967: Regular state of 1967's:

Sometimes you do find a very nice one. I turned up a 1966 20˘ (not a wavey, unfortunately) when I was checking a bag. At first glance it looked like a brand new coin. aUNC, anyway ; and usual examples looked very sick in the comparison.

Not much real interesting stuff this weekend, a few 07 Apec $1.00, Couple 07 10 cent, 1 07 5 cent,1 large obv 1999 10 cent. Did notice on a few 2007 20cent coins the obverse showing quite strong doubling on the legend. Comparable to the strength of doubling found more commonly on a 2001 platy 20 cent. All 3 were thick 7 types.

Well I got TOTALLY Jipped! The $50/20c I got today, the teller must have screwed it up, cos I somehow ended up with the same coins I was taking back! Hahahahahaa; go figure! I got $50/50c to go thru, but have to sort out what I'm looking for first. Anything in particular I should be after, other than the Ram's Head?

Always take them back to a different bank from where you get them from.

Well I checked the coats of arms coins from the two bags of 50˘ and; -6 x 1973 -1 x 1985 -3 x 1993 -7 x 1997 With same mintage, I can never understand why 1985 seem to be much scarcer than 1993 Also kept some really nice -very fine, or better- 'commons'. One each of 1971, 1974, 1976, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1984 and only one 2007. When I checked the more common commemoratives I also found 2 x 1970 tilted 7 and 3 x 1994 wide date. Jeff.

OK, today: $50/50c & $50/20c
20c first:
2001 Bradman - 1 (In VERY condition... Not Quite UNC, but close) 1995 UN - 1 (with a ding in the rim; obv 6 o'clock :( ) 2003 Volunteers - 1
Now normally for 20c this would SUCK from 5 bags, BUT what I also happened upon in the last bag was awesome!
3x UNC 1980's! That was cool! and also a 1967 and 1981 in very good condition...
Now 50c: 1977 Silver Jubilee - 1 1981 Royal Wedding - 2 (1 in GREAT condition) 1982 Commonwealth Games - 2 1991 Decimal Anniversary Rams Head - 1 :) 2000 Millenium - 1 (threw three back too) 2001 CoF NSW - 1 2003 Volunteers - 1
Very Happy about the Ram's Head and the quality of one of Royal Wedding coins... :)

I went through $100 of 5c pieces yesterday and found only 3 1972's . There were very few pre-1975 coins.
